Set twenty-five years into the future, Long Away is a sci-fi short film about Victoria and the father who died when she was very young. As a trans woman who transitioned as an adult, Victoria's father never got to know her truth. She uses a one-round-trip-only time travel device to jump back to our present and meet the man she can barely remember... and try to find out if he'd love her for who she really is. Long Away was directed by Star Trek writers Tilly and Susan Brides, with Jessie Earl as producer, assistant director and editor. The Matrix director Lilly Wachowski called the film “a healing balm”.

SUB/LIMINAL is an upcoming dark anthology series from the indie streamer Nebula in the vein of The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror that explores power dynamics in human relationships and what can happen when those relationships fall out of balance. The first season will feature six stand-alone episodes with stories from Nebula creators brought to life in partnership with seasoned directors and producers. The series is executive produced by Academy Award–winner Dan Jinks (American Beauty, Big Fish, Pushing Daisies), with every episode pairing Nebula creators’ original stories with experienced filmmakers to craft intimate, unsettling tales about connection, control, and the edges of identity. The series is expected to release in late 2026.
Jessie directed the episode “Executive Decision,” starring Tony Award–winners Michael Cerveris (Fringe, Sweeney Todd) and John Rubinstein (Angel, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).

Solve is a short film directed by Jessie Earl starring Michael Trimm and based on the play by Piers Black-Hawkins. In a future where the government has normalized a state-mandated game of Russian roulette to control overpopulation—two citizens enter, one leaves—Edward arrives for his final “Solve.” But in the waiting room, doubt sets in, forcing him to decide whether to comply or finally refuse a system built on quiet, everyday violence.
